Controversial columnist and public commentator, Femi Aribisala has alleged that N25.7b got missing under President Buhari’s watch, when he was in charge of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF).
He said the Haruna Adamu probe panel indicted Buhari, adding that another N500m disappeared under his watch.
Aribisala also slammed Buhari for reportedly saying Gen. Sani Abacha did not steal money, sighting news reports of the recovery of the late dictator’s loot as evidence.
The columnist added that there are people who also stole money that are in the All Peoples Congress (APC), adding that most of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) thieves have crossed to the ruling party.
Aribisala said this while being interviewed on a Channels Television program, Sunrise Daily.
Buhari was appointed to serve as the chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) by late General Sani Abacha.
PTF
was funded from the revenue generated by the increase in price of
petroleum products, to pursue developmental projects around the country.
Femi Aribisala is a scholar and international affairs expert. He is currently an iconoclastic church pastor in Lagos.
